Scott AkinScott Akin is the founder and Chairman for Shelter Our Soldiers. Scott has spent the last 28 years in the manufacturing elevators. In 2013, Scott retired while holding the position of Vice President of Operations at Elevator Doors Inc and Elevator Cabs Inc. While retired, Scott applied for and received several US Patents which led to formation of his most recent company, Archi-Tread, Inc. a custom elevator sill manufacturing company. Prior to entering the elevator industry, Scott was the owner of Blue Mountain contractors, builder of custom homes. Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University.

Todd reitTodd Reit is a Director and Financial Officer of Shelter Our Soldiers. Todd is also a Managing Member of Cross Brook Partners, a holdco of several business initiatives. Todd was formerly a Managing Director and Global Head of Asset Management Investment Banking for UBS AG, where he was responsible for overseeing all the bank’s asset management client relationships globally, including all corporate security transactions, mergers and acquisitions. Todd retired from UBS in 2017 after an over 25-year career at the company and its predecessor company, PaineWebber Incorporated (merged with UBS AG in 2000). Prior to UBS/PaineWebber, he was a Research Analyst at Value Line, Inc. Todd received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware.

Pat ContursoPasquale Conturso Jr. is a Director and Head of Construction and Development of Shelter Our Soldiers. Pat is also the Owner/President of Mountaintop Construction, Inc. Mountain Top is a highly respected residential and commercial contracting company with a long track record of successful projects throughout New Jersey. Founded by Pasquale Conturso Senior in 1963, the company was originally established as a roofing and siding company based out of North Newark NJ. Pasquale’s son, Pasquale Conturso Jr. was brought up in the company from an early age. As the company evolved into Mountaintop Construction, Inc. Pasquale (Jr.) eventually took ownership of the business in 2010.

Erin ScheiblingErin Scheibling is a Director and head of Public Relations for Shelter Our Soldiers. Erin is also a high school history teacher at Chatham High School and was previously a high school history teacher at Kinnelon High School. While at Kinnelon, Erin created and ran an after school program called “The Give Back Club”. The Give Back Club mission statement was “create ways to give back to the community” and was staffed by volunteer students from all grades. Erin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from Bloomsburg University and received her Master degree in education at The College of New Jersey.

Kristin AkinKristin Akin is a Director for Shelter Our Soldiers. Kristin is a graduate of Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and minor in Spanish. Currently she is building her career at Hennion & Walsh as a Registered Service Associate. When she is not at Hennion & Walsh, she dedicates her time as a volleyball coach at Allegro Volleyball Club. During her high school years she attended Kinnelon High School where she created and ran an after-school program called “The Give Back Club”. The Give Back Club mission statement was “create ways to give back to the community” and was staffed by volunteer students from all grades.

Kevin R. KramerKevin Kramer is Executive Director at FS Investments, a leading Alternative Investment manager. Kevin is responsible for managing home office relationships for both distribution and research at wirehouses and private banks. Before joining FS Investments, Kevin most recently served as Managing Director, Head of Closed-End Funds & Alternative Investments for Guggenheim Investments. Prior to Guggenheim, he was Head of Retail Equity Capital Markets for Citigroup where he was responsible for origination and syndication of Closed-End Fund IPOs and follow-ons. Prior to that role, he held several senior roles at Wachovia Capital Markets and Prudential Securities. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Kevin lives in New York City with his wife and son.

Paul F. McGinnPaul McGinn is a Senior Vice President and Fixed-Income Client Portfolio Manager. In this role, he serves as the Product Specialist representing the suite of actively-managed fixed-income ETFs and model portfolios. First Trust is the largest provider of actively-managed ETFs based on assets under management and number of funds offered. Paul’s primary area of focus is to deliver the First Trust suite of fixed-income solutions to Financial Professionals across the spectrum including RIAs, Trust Departments, Pensions, Foundations and Endowments.
A 30-year industry veteran, Paul was a Managing Director at Societe Generale prior to joining First Trust in 2013. He led the effort to build a client- centric franchise across all flow product businesses with Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Banks and Pensions in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Paul had previously served over 20 years in various roles at UBS with the mergers of J.C. Bradford & Company and Paine Webber. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. |
